Wood you or wouldn't you

We left the Beckham's back yard at around 8.30am and then at the next lock filled with water for a hour. We then carried on in the sunshine until we spotted some wood in the distance..best stop then.... It had been all cut up and left in a pile but was very difficult to get to and carry. We both managed to carry a little bit back to Derwent6 and put it on the roof. We then carried on down the Stort going through some more beautiful scenery. We then got back to the Lee and went down through the locks which were all in our favour. We still have not seen a boat all day it just has been so quiet here. We made it down to Broxbourne before the light was now beginning to beat us. We moored up right outside The Crown pub as they were having a firework meal deal on, which was bangers and mash and a pint of ale for £9.50. We've got to say it was one of the best meals we have had in a pub for a long time and it was quiet magical looking out the window at the fireworks.
