Got tied up on our way to Cosgrove

With the weather a lot brighter today we left at 8.00am. We had a steady journey through the countryside until we got to Blisworth tunnel. There, a BW guy was waiting, and told us a wide beam boat was making it's way through. We had to wait about forty minutes so Al made us and the BW guy a cup of tea (something they are used to) When we got through the tunnel we had to wait to go through the lock, so we got rid of our rubbish and Al went into the museum shop in Stoke Bruerne. We went down the first two locks and then met a single handed boater wanting help to get down the remaining flight of locks, so we tied his boat to Derwent6, and he helped Al do the locks while Del took both boats into the locks. We said our goodbyes at the bottom and we then made our way on to Cosgrove. We got water and had a pumpout before we went down the one lock here. We got there just in time to get a tv signal and watched the football all afternoon and in the evening.... Good job we are used to having those bees buzzing in our ears all the time....
