What a Cracking Day

Up early this morning as we had some cruising to do today. It was a brilliant sunrise and the day looked promising for a sunny day. We made our way to Napton and Al toasted some Hot Cross buns to have with coffee as we were going along. With the windmill gleaming down on us as we stopped to top up with water. As this appears to be the M25 of the water system, it was reasonably quite. We only had one boat pass us on the water point and no queues.

We got to the top with glorious sunshine in our faces and you really get to see how green this country is. It was lovely to be part of this fantastic island we live on. We were slapping on the suntan lotion for the first time this year and soaking it all up. After three hours we were lucky enough to grab a mooring right outside The Whalf Inn pub. We walking in and booked a table for the evening as they had a band, the Ladbroke Rockers, on at 9.00pm.

We took a walk up to LeeSan and picked up a new breather filter for the waste system and then got back to Derwent6 and opened a can or two and put our feet up for the rest of the day.

In the evening we meet up with Andy and Hilary off n.b. Maisibert and had a good catch up with a Curry and chips and then we listened to the band, The Ladbroke Rockers, till the early hours... Still bed was only thirty feet just outside the pub door....
